Annual Community Shred Event!
This weekend, SEAM is proud to participate in the annual Crime Stoppers of the Sioux Empire Shred Event! This is a fantastic opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted documents and protect yourself from identity theft.
Here’s what you need to know:
Date: Saturday, April 20th, 2024
Time: 8:00 am to noon
SEAM’s Location: South location in the Sioux Falls Christian Parking Lot (69th & Charger Cir) — more locations can be found here.
Donation: $5 per box or bag (suggested donation)
Why Shred?
Identity theft is a serious crime, and protecting your personal information is crucial. Shredding documents containing sensitive information like bank statements, credit card receipts, and old tax forms helps prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.
How it Works:
This year’s event will be a contactless shredding service for your safety and the safety of our volunteers. Here’s what to do:
- Place your documents in a box or bag.
- Arrive at the Sioux Falls Christian Parking Lot between 8 am and noon.
- Stay in your vehicle and pop your trunk or open your backseat.
- A friendly SEAM volunteer will unload your documents for shredding.
Supporting a Great Cause:
The proceeds from this event will go directly to Crime Stoppers of the Sioux Empire, a non-profit organization dedicated to making our community safer. Their work relies on anonymous tips from the public to help solve crimes and keep our streets safe.
