Donate Technology with Re:Boot Sioux Falls

Nov 24, 2020

If you’re looking for a way to responsibly and securely recycle your gently used computer, AND help local nonprofits in the Sioux Falls community, here’s your chance! Over 100 systems have been collected through Re:Boot Sioux Falls! But more are needed to meet the demand.

Zeal Center for Entrepreneurship in partnership with DRACO and SEAM have combined effort to provide local Sioux Falls nonprofits and small businesses with much-needed technology upgrades.

Donate:

  • Laptops, desktop computers, and tablets
  • No older than 5 years of age
  • No cell phones, TVs, free-standing monitors, etc., will be accepted

Any device that does not meet the donation criteria is encouraged to be recycled at the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility or with Secure Enterprise Asset Management (SEAM) in Sioux Falls.

Donated computer and tablet hard drives are sanitized and basic operating systems installed, courtesy of SEAM. DRACO, in coordination with DSU and USD students, will be creating customized workshops at Zeal Center to provide our beneficiaries and their clients with the skills and programming needed to fulfill their missions as it relates to their new technology.

Please visit the Re:Boot Sioux Falls website for additional details including types of devices accepted, drop-off days and hours.

SEAM provides IT recycling and data destruction services including onsite shredding and hard drive wiping to South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska.
