Residential Electronics Recycling

Drop Off Your Old Devices Securely

SEAM primarily serves businesses, but we also welcome individuals from across the region to recycle personal electronics. If your local Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) site doesn’t accept your item, SEAM provides a secure option to handle your devices safely and responsibly.

Wondering if we’ll take your item?

Where to Recycle Your Electronics

Whether you’re cleaning out old household devices, upgrading to new technology, or getting rid of that old TV in the basement, SEAM makes the process simple.
We work directly with residents, municipalities, and HHW facilities to ensure electronics are recycled responsibly.

Start with Free Options

Many communities offer free electronics recycling through Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facilities. These sites often take TVs, computers, and small devices at no cost.

For example, Sioux Falls provides free drop-off for residents:

Drop Off at SEAM

If HHW can’t accept your item—or you live outside their coverage area—bring it directly to SEAM’s Sioux Falls facility.

We offer drop-off hours for businesses and residents for secure handling of all devices and certified recycling you can trust.

Know What’s Accepted

Most electronics are accepted, including TVs, computers, and phones. Some items, like tube TVs or oversized monitors, require special processing and may have a fee.

Always check the Accepted Items list before visiting.

Want to mail it instead? SEAM partners with TERRA’s Done With IT program to provide mail-in options for the public.
